Hoots Mon!

Before any of you point out that “the moose loose aboot this hoose” is referring to a mouse, I don’t care, alright? πŸ˜‰ This is the finished Hoots Mon quilt and it has been suggested that this is the most worthwhile achievement of my life so far.

Size – 52″ x 41″
Number of blocks – N/A
Time to piece – It was just glued, not stitched. About 6 hours maybe not including design time and getting the size prepped.
Time to quilt – 6 hours approx
Fabric – All sorts! Mostly Kona solids, Β£2 a yard orange clearance stuff from Fabric Guild, some Sock Monkey texture and the rest all scraps.
Backing Fabric – Β£2 a yard floral stuff from the Fabric Guild
Binding Fabric – White Klona- with my favourite facings method.
Threads – Coats Moon off white in the bobbin. A multitude of different Guterman threads on top to blend.
Batting – 80/20 Soft and Elegant
Quilting- Realistic texture, lus various leaf shapes and swirls FMQ on the orange.

Finish along finish 3Β for quarter 1! Also see it in real life at the Quilt and Stitch Village show in Uttoxeter at the end of April.
