Spotlight on… Jujulee

It’s been a few months since I last featured laser cut jewellery, so I think I’m allowed to show you some more! This time it is Etsy seller jujulee’s turn. My absolute favourite pieces are the”diamond” rings. Very cute and inexpensive!

Spotlight on… Hinomaru

These rings are really unusual, chunky and affordable! Made by Hinomaru (http://hinomaru.etsy.com) in Japan from fired clay, check them out!

Gone dotty…

I’ve been playing around with the new two part silicone ring mould from Resin  Obsession (http://www.resinobsession.com) these last few days, and whilst I threw away my first attempt (just came out in pieces) these are my second and third attempts… I am quite pleased with the rough effect and the mix of opaque and translucence, [...]

Glue and Glitter collaboration!

It’s very rare for me to update twice in one day, but I had to share this. I made some cabs for Laura at Glue and Glitter in return for my logo for Rothley Craft Farm that she kindly made for me (more on this when I am in a position to share information), and [...]

Blogumentary: Jenny Blaze’s Two-finger ring part 6

I got this awesome new flat lap machine for Christmas, though I’ve discovered that the best place for it is in the bath as water flies everywhere! I used the diamond laps to sand, then used polishing paste and the buffing lapto polish up. Unfortunately I lost my grip on both (would you believe it) and they [...]

Blogumentary: Jenny Blaze’s Two-finger ring part 5

I demoulded the rings and then added another layer of resin on the top to create a more domed effect. It is still very tacky, so will not start sanding these until tomorrow. The black isn’t quite as vivid as I would have liked or as how they were before they went in the resin, [...]

Blogumentary: Jenny Blaze’s Two-finger ring part 3

It took a while, but finally I am at the mould making stage. I originally tried this with Vinamold but I think it got too hot and it clug to the model and it took me ages to sand it all off. I ordered some RTV silicone and decided to try a cold process instead. [...]

Product Review: Soop rings!

So I got some of those lovely animal rings from http://soop.etsy.com that I featured on my blog earlier, a cow and a little goat. They come in various sizes to fit everyone and are perfectly made from translucent acrylics. They feel comfortable to wear although I do find the horns on the goat are a [...]

Spotlight on… Soop

I’ve seen these rings before, but never realised that you could build a whole landscape on your finger, and that they are based in the UK too! All of the rings are cut from acrylic, one of my favourite mediums http://soop.etsy.com Follow my blog with bloglovin´

HeartJoia

I found these on Flickr by Heartjoia.com and they are brilliant! I think I might have to experiment with making an interesting shaped ring mould this weekend with my band saw I have yet to use!
