Punctuation quilt finished

And that’s two out of four finish along goals! πŸ˜€ Two quilts done for Christmas now, just a cushion to make and it’s only December 1st. Pretty pleased with that. This is the first quilt I ever started. I made 6 blocks out of the Snowball Sampler Quilt inΒ this book from a jelly roll in 2011 and then promptly shoved them in a drawer. But now, along with some white Klona and some charm squares from Fluffy Sheep Quilting’s rainbow charm swap, I was ready!

I machine stitched the binding, the top thread is red.

Here’s the vintage sheet back and that massive label from my last post.

STATS
Size – 68″ x 84″
Number of blocks – 18 sample blocks excluding snowballs
Time to piece – About 13 hours
Time to quilt – 3 1/2 hours approx (home machine)
Fabric – Punctuation by American Jane and white Klona predominantly
Backing Fabric – A vintage single duvet cover off eBay
Binding Fabric – White solid (Klona)
Threads – Coats Cotton white and Coats Moon Red
Batting – An 80/20 blend
Quilting- Orange peel over the blocks and swirls in the borders.

Great job missus! I’m similarly rather overly prepared for the end of the month, it’s quite disconcerting, isn’t it?
